Advanced Engineering Education and Food Technology Engineering

Abstract:

The article presents some aspects analysis of advanced engineering education of agricultural and industrial complex specialists in Russia; and first of all, the dependence of the food technology engineering development on the educational process intellectualization. The issues range includes the key point discussion of the Fourth and Fifth technological paradigms, as well as the forecast of the Sixth technological paradigm in terms of agriculture industrialization. The authors paid special attention to the engineering education quality as the quality part of the teaching staff, curricula and working programs, textbooks and teaching guides, students, university infrastructure, as well as the university management quality. The strategic direction of engineering education intellectualization is the advanced development of the entire education system, especially the educational process organization on senior courses, providing students with training for technical, and social and economic creativity, as well as forming their moral portrait. In this regard, the researchers highlighted such an aspect of advanced engineering education as the development of textbooks and teaching guides in the form of a book set that is a special knowledge system focusing students to create the technology of the food technology future. They described a set of 19 books prepared by teachers of leading food profile universities in Russia in cooperation with the Publishing House “LAN” (St. Petersburg) in detail.
