Abstract:

Researchers extracted ginseng roots of Panax ginseng C.A. Meyer presented in two samples: cultivated ginseng grown in the province of Kaesong (North Korea) and ginseng collected in the Lazovsky district of the Primorye Region (Russia) using the supercritical CO2-extraction method. They analyzed extracts by the high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) method with mass spectrometric identification. The results of mass spectrometry showed the spectrum of the main ginsenosides with some minor groups inclusion. While interpreting results a man revealed some differences in the spectra of the two ginseng samples.
