Abstract:

Human performance, physical condition and quality of life characterize the standard of living. The cause of oxidative stress is metabolic processes violation in the human body, encouraging the free radicals (active agents) accumulation. It triggers the primary mechanisms of damaging action, that, in turn, causes various medical conditions and diseases. The study aim is to develop a rapid method for determining the oxidative stress level in the population, taking into account the regional residence characteristics. It will allow to identify indicators depending on the region. Main oxidative stress indicators are the following: ecological situation, level of social and economic development, climatic conditions of the region, psychoemotional state of the population. The offered express method is based on the calculation method of the integral index including the following stages: selecting the most significant factor markers; determining normative values and weighting coefficients; calculating individual indicators of the selected markers with consideration for the region specifics. The choice of marker components is based on the research of the region parameters using the Scheffe criterion (reveals statistically significant differences between the averages, are used for normally distributed, connected groups based on the variance analysis). The weighting coefficients are determined by expert evaluation methods used for prospective, analytical and project challenges. These coefficients are quantitative characteristics of the markers significance. Developed point scale for identifying regions exposed to the active influence of oxidative stress allows to control the life quality of the living population.
