Abstract:

To preserve the health and increase productivity of employees working in harmful conditions vitamins and intestinal sorbent are of particular importance. The latter include natural pectins that can bind and remove xenobiotics, industrial poisons and radionuclides from the human body. Vitamins and intestinal sorbents are of particular importance in detoxification, maintaining health and efficiency. The latter include natural pectins that can bind and remove xenobiotics, industrial poisons and radionuclides from the body. The research aim is to develop a formulation of therapeutic and preventive drink enriched with pectin and vitamins, mg/100 g of dry concentrate: ascorbic acid (C) – 307.5; thiamine (B1) – 2.5; riboflavin (B2) – 0.0075; folic acid (folacin) – 0.75; pantothenic acid – 12.5; biotin (vitamin H) – 0.10; vitamin A – 2.25; beta-carotene – 10.0; vitamin E – 35.0; vitamin D – 0.0225; pectin – 25.0. Researchers used natural apple pectin and vitamin premix containing 12 essential biologically active substances plus beta-carotene, and honeysuckle extract and fructose as natural raw materials. There is sufficient experimental and clinical material indicating the pectin detoxification properties. It is an effective intestinal sorbent turning heavy metals, radionuclides, and other industrial xenobiotics into insoluble complexes that are removed from the body without being absorbed into the gastrointestinal tract. Honeysuckle is a natural source of biologically active substances – anthocyanins, catechins, flavanols and flavones, chlorogenic and ascorbic acid. Fructose is a natural sugar substitute used to prevent diabetes. Generally, the drink formulation contributes to the health preservation and efficiency maintenance of employees working on industrial enterprises with harmful conditions. The above allows to position the drink as a specialized product of preventive (dietary) food in the presence of occupational hazards.
