The objective was to study purchase decision making process, response to the purchase, and factors defining consumer behavior while choosing jelly covered products on the Blagoveshchensk market on the example of meat products. In order to make the market analysis really objective a man must adhere to the evidence-based polling operation rules developed within social sciences. The correct functional products positioning provides its successful promotion on the market. The retail chains of Blagoveshchensk deliver meat products, including meat products covered with jelly fillings mainly from regional producers. Researchers used the interview method to study consumer preferences of the jelly covered meat products. The major part of the respondents consumes meat products covered with jelly. The smaller demand is for jelly covered poultry meat and byproducts. Nowadays there are no meat products covered with berry and vegetable jelly on the Blagoveshchensk market. However, most respondents take an interest in this category of meat products. They consume jelly meat products minimum once a month, moreover these products are of industrial production generally. Because jelly meat products are in demand, it is necessary to expand the range of this commodity group using new types of the jelly fillings.
