Abstract:

The article presents the survey results of a daily student diet and the analysis of the satisfaction degree determination with the norms of physiological needs for energy and essential nutrients as approved by the Federal Service on Customers Rights Protection and Human Well-being Surveillance.

The compliance degree with these standards is not the same for different students varying from 8 to 308%. The highest deficit for macronutrients in the daily diet of some students is in fats (up to 20% of the daily need), and carbohydrates (up to 20% of the daily need). Other students are over in proteins (up to 197% of the daily need) and in fats (up to 187% of the daily need). The hugest deficit is in vitamins C (12%), B1 (25%), B2 and in minerals – as calcium (27% of the daily need) and ferrum (21%) that is due to defects in the daily diet formation. An excessive consumption in most cases does not exceed the upper permissible limits, so it’s less dangerous for young organism going through the increased physical and mental stress. The authors made recommendations for the correct nutrition with a deficiency or excess of certain nutrients.
