The Concept of Safety Protection and Food Quality on the Russian Consumer Market

Abstract:

The article concerns the analysis of the existing safety control system and food quality intended the certification of the current foodstuff entire range. The system has low effectiveness, does not meet the consumers requirements, thus there is a necessity of a new system that excluded consumption of low quality and unsafe foodstuff. Therefore, the authors proposed the concept of the safety protection and food quality in the production process immediately. They concerned principles, and the implementation mechanism of this system; evaluated the country's commitment for implementation, both from an organizational and methodological points. The solution to the problem of ensuring safety protection and food quality on the Russian consumer market does not require significant capital investments. The only requirement is the domestic producers desire and understanding that actually the production of competitive products, primarily due to its high quality, guarantees a rightful place on the country’s consumer market and creates conditions for boosting exports.
